RG Rotate Clock App

Rainey Retro Clock for RG Rotate
Version 1.0 patch
Includes the Rainey Retro logo as the app and screensaver icon.

Install
1. Copy Rainey-Retro-Clock-RG-Rotate-v1.0-patch.apk to the RG Rotate.
2. Open the APK on the device and install it.
3. Launch "Rainey Retro Clock".

Basic Use
- Long press the clock screen to open options.
- Tap X in the options header to close options.
- Choose videos, photos, GIFs, or watch faces from the options menu.
- Use Fit/Fill, video start, loop length, speed, font, color, and theme controls.

Media Keys
- Turn on MEDIA KEYS with the ⏯ option.
- The overlay uses symbol buttons: ⏮, ⏯, ⏭.
- Use KEYS X, KEYS Y, KEYS SIZE, and KEYS FADE to position and adjust the overlay.
- The buttons send Android media-key events and can control apps such as Amazon Music when that app has the active media session.

Clock Lock / Lock-Screen Replacement Mode
- CLOCK LOCK is intended for a dedicated RG Rotate clock setup.
- EXIT TO ANDROID in options turns CLOCK LOCK off and returns to Android.
- Device-owner setup is required for true lock-screen replacement behavior.
- When CLOCK LOCK is on, pressing power to wake the device opens/previews the clock.
- Pressing power again still puts the device back to sleep.
- Android swipe-down options and gestures remain available.

Optional Device-Owner Setup
Device-owner mode lets Rainey Retro Clock bypass the Android lock clock and behave like a dedicated clock screen.

Important:
- This is optional. The normal app works without it.
- Android usually requires device-owner setup before any Google/account is added.
- If the command fails because accounts already exist, remove accounts or factory reset the device, then set up again without adding a Google account first.
- Use this only on a dedicated RG Rotate clock device.

Setup from a computer with ADB:
1. Install the APK on the RG Rotate.
2. Enable Developer options and USB debugging on the RG Rotate.
3. Connect the RG Rotate to the computer.
4. Confirm the device appears:
   adb devices
5. Set Rainey Retro Clock as device owner:
   adb shell dpm set-device-owner com.raineyretro.gamingclock/.RetroClockAdminReceiver
6. Launch Rainey Retro Clock.
7. Open options and turn CLOCK LOCK on.

Undo / Return to Normal Android:
- In the app: open options, tap EXIT TO ANDROID.
- To fully remove device-owner mode, run:
  adb shell dpm remove-active-admin com.raineyretro.gamingclock/.RetroClockAdminReceiver

Notes
- The app works offline.
- Local media permissions stay on-device.
- Screensaver/Daydream support is included.
- Wallpaper helper is included.
